时间副词「已经」— 已经……了

已经 before the verb, 了 at the end: 我已经吃了, 他已经回家了, 苹果已经坏了. The frame for things that are finished — and for states you have already reached.

老的「已」和「巳」是同一个字——一个蜷起来的形状，有人看成胎儿，有人看成蛇——「已经、完了」是借来的意思，后来把这个字整个占了。留神那道缝：「已」yǐ 的那一笔停在半路，「己」jǐ（自己）停在底下，「巳」sì 完全合上。「已经」是「已」加「经」——经过了：已经过去了。

月表意flesh — the 肉 radical, which looks like the moon佥表音qiān → liǎn脸

左边的「月」不是月亮：是「肉」，挤成了一样的形状——身体的部位都戴着它：脸、脚、腿、肚子。右边的「佥」借出读音。「他的脸已经红了」是第二杯下去以后中国人的脸会发生的事；「脸」也是面子的脸，「没面子」是谁都不想要的事。

土表意earth — walls that collapse不表音bù → huài, in the simplified form坏

繁体的「壞」是「土」加一个很重的声旁：一堵土墙倒下来——毁了。简体留下了土，旁边直接写了一个「不」：不好——一笔常识。「这个苹果已经坏了」——苹果坏掉了；「手机坏了」——手机坏了；「坏人」——坏的人。

1今晚，把已经做完的事数一遍——我已经吃了，已经下班了，已经洗澡了——说得像一场小小的胜利。句尾的「了」就是终点线。
2有人用「吃饭了吗」跟你打招呼时，别找吃的。说「已经吃了」，然后问回去——你刚刚好好地说了一声你好。
3「已经」不只给动作用：天黑了、脸红了、苹果坏了——状态也会到，而「已经」说的是它们到了。
