What level are you?
Five minutes, ten to thirty questions. Get a round right and the test moves up a level; get it wrong and it moves down. Where it settles is your level.
Before you start
- Two kinds of question: what a word means, and which word is missing from a sentence.
- It adjusts as you go: five questions a round, up a level when you do well, down when you don't.
- Characters not required: turn pinyin on and the reading sits under every question.
Levels follow the HSK 3.0 word lists: HSK 1–6 use the teacher's own word and grammar lists, and HSK 7–9 uses the advanced word list of the official syllabus. The test runs in your browser — nothing is stored or uploaded.
