会two ideas joined
礻 is an altar, and the traditional right half 豊 drew a ritual vessel heaped with offerings — jade and grain presented to the spirits. That is what a 礼 originally was: the proper giving. Simplification boiled the loaded vessel down to a single hook, but the idea survived the diet: 礼物 is a gift, 礼貌 is politeness — both of them offerings, one wrapped, one spoken.

Originally a drawing of a person with both hands on the waist — this was the first character for 'waist'. The waist is where the body's weight settles, and 要 drifted into 'the essential thing', then 'need, want, will'. The waist itself, evicted, got a new character: 腰, with the flesh radical moved in. So every plan you announce with 要 stands, etymologically, with its hands on its hips.
marriage
形meaning + sound
女 is the bride, and 昏 lends the sound — but 昏 is no random syllable: it means dusk, the sun sinking behind 氏. Ancient Chinese weddings were held exactly then, at nightfall, and were called 昏礼, the dusk ritual, before the 女 moved in to make the character official. So 结婚 carries its own wedding hour inside it — and every 我觉得他们会结婚 is a forecast about somebody's dusk.
